It was over 25 years back during the period when our economy more or less was an agrarian economy dependant on nature. Indian Govt. was then endeavoring to  rebuild the post colonial economy. In line with the post-independence drive for self-reliance, Atul's founder, Mr. R.S. Mittal started manufacturing of Diesel Engine / Pump set to provide Indian Farmers round -the-year irrigation facilities, which later on turned out to be a revolution in agricultural sector.

    Over period of time his two sons, Mr. Mukesh Mittal & Mr. Sanjeev Mittal also joined hands to further cater to infrastructure need of the country by developing Diesel Generating sets as an alternative captive power generation and also diversified into different areas expanding its activities rapidly with present group turnover in excess of 250 millions.

    From a modest beginning ATUL Group of companies has grown into a multi-crore, five-Company industry leader in its core business of Diesel Engine, Generators, Pump sets, PVC Pipes, Hyper/High Chrome Steel Media Balls and Railway Components.
