INTRODUCTION
:
Diesel engines both in the indigenous market and abroad
have received approbation for their reliability, economy
in operation, durability longer life and exquisite
performance. Specially designed to meet the needs of the
agricultural sector and multi various general uses.
TYPE
:
Vertical, Water cooled, Air cooled, Compression
ignition, Four stroke cycle, Cold start, constant speed
diesel engines.
ROTATION
:
The Standard rotation is clock-wise facing the fly-wheel
in High Speed engines and facing fuel pump in Slow Speed
engines.
STARTING
:
Cold starting by manual cranking. A detachable pawl type
starting handle is supplied.
FUEL
SYSTEM :
Fuel is supplied to the fuel pump by gravity feed from
fuel tank through felt/fabric/paper element filter. A
Button filter is also provided at the inlet of
Automizer.
LUBRICATION
:
Force feed by plunger type lubricating oil pump to large
end bearing. Main bearing, cam shaft bush bearing.
Rocker arm bushes etc. are Splash lubricated in High
speed engines but in slow speed engines value. Rocker
bush are manually lubricated and all other parts are
splash lubricated. In Double cylinder engines force feed
by Gear type lubricating oil pump to main bearings,
large end bearings and oil the parts are splash
lubricated.
BEARINGS
:
Main bearings are tapper roller bearing. Large-end
bearings and main bearing of Double Cylinder engines are
white metal or aluminum alloy lined, steel backed thin
walled bearings value rocker, Small end connecting rod
cam shaft are provided with bush bearings.
GOVERNING
:
Constant Speed centrifugal governor is mounted on the
cam shaft gear wheel. Speed variation is controlled
within limits to comply with Indian Standard
Specifications.
BALANCING
:
Engine is efficiently balanced with two balance weights
boltes on Crank Shaft in high speed engine and in slow
speed engine the balance weights are provided in fly
wheel itself. Flywheel is statically balanced to give
smooth operation and ensure long life of parts.
COOLING
:
Engines are water cooled and cooling is arranged by run
through water supply or radiator or cooling tank. In Air
cooled engines cooling fan is provided in the engine.
EXHAUST
SYSTEM :
To minimize the exhaust sound a pepper-port type
silencer is provided.
AIR
CLEANER :
Oil bath type air cleaner is fitted for efficient
cleaning of inlet air.
